A damaged pad, trace or connector can be measured in fractions of a millimetre. RavFix uses microscope-assisted soldering and board-level diagnostics to repair the fault precisely, then tests the circuit before handover.

I’m Alfie, the curious technician behind RavFix.
I’ve been fascinated by electronics for as long as I can remember. When I was around four years old, that mostly meant taking things apart to see what was inside — and, admittedly, sometimes breaking them in the process. Over time, curiosity turned into understanding, and understanding turned into learning how to fix things properly.
That interest never really left me. Today I work full-time in electronics repair and technical support, diagnosing faults, solving technical problems and working hands-on with electronics as part of my everyday work.
RavFix began as a way for me to build something of my own around something I’ve genuinely cared about for most of my life: fixing electronics and helping people get more use out of the devices they already own.
I also hate seeing repairable electronics thrown away unnecessarily. Not everything should be repaired, and sometimes replacement simply makes more sense. But when something can be repaired properly and kept useful for longer, I think that’s worth doing — and it can help reduce unnecessary electronic waste along the way.
With RavFix, you deal directly with me. I’m the person reading your message, inspecting the device, carrying out the repair and testing it before it comes back to you. If I find something unexpected, I’ll explain it. If I don’t think a repair makes sense, I’ll tell you that too.

Often, yes. I can diagnose failed BIOS/UEFI updates and firmware corruption and, where appropriate, reprogram the SPI flash memory directly at board level. Recovery depends on the cause of the failure and whether the required firmware and board-specific data can be safely restored. If the problem turns out to be hardware-related rather than firmware, I’ll explain what I’ve found before any further repair work is carried out.
Yes, on selected compatible controllers. Hall Effect and TMR modules use magnetic sensing instead of the carbon potentiometer tracks found in traditional sticks, removing a common wear mechanism behind stick drift. The controller is calibrated and full-range tested after installation.
